Do It Like You Mean It

Scripture Reading: Colossians 3:17, 23-24

Reflection: "Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically" isn't advice for people with easy lives or exciting circumstances — Paul wrote it to people doing tedious, thankless, repetitive work. The instruction isn't to change what you're doing; it's to change who you're doing it for. Serve in the nursery, teach the class, sing in the choir, show up for the shift nobody wants — but do it as if you're doing it for Jesus Himself, because you are. That shift changes everything. Obligation drains you because it's always asking, "Did anyone notice?" Love doesn't need an audience. If you've been serving out of guilt or habit, this is your invitation to either recover the joy in it or have an honest conversation about whether it's time to let it go. God isn't impressed by your busyness. He's moved by your heart. This week, let your "yes" to Him be loud again — not for anyone watching, but for Him.
