Your Story Is the Message

Scripture Reading: 1 Peter 3:13-18

Reflection:

You'll talk about the weather, last night's game, or your kid's report card without a second thought. But mention what God has actually done in your life, and suddenly your throat tightens up.

Why is that?

Maybe because a football score can't be argued with, but your faith story feels exposed, personal, easy to dismiss. Here's what's true, though. Nobody can argue with your actual story.

They can debate theology, but they cannot debate what happened to you. You don't need a seminary degree or a perfect life to tell someone that you were lost and something changed.

Your story doesn't need to be polished. It needs to be honest. Somebody in your life right now needs to hear it, not a sermon, not an argument, just your story, told plainly, the way you'd tell a friend about anything that mattered to you. This week, stop clamming up. Just tell them.
