A New You!

2 Corinthians 5:17

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.”

Reflection: When Jesus saves you, He does not just change your destination; He starts changing you. Paul calls it becoming a new creation. The old things pass away, and new things come. Often the first thing to shift is not your list of rules but your wants. You begin to desire prayer. You find yourself hungry for His Word and glad to gather with His people. You also begin to lose your appetite for things that once felt harmless but now grieve the One who loves you. This is not about earning heaven. It is about delighting the Savior who already gave it.

Be patient with yourself, because growth is usually slow and steady. But be honest too.

Where is He changing you? Where are you still holding on? Today, quietly tell Him one thing you want to love more, and one thing you are ready to loosen your grip on.

Application Question: Looking back over the last few years, what desires or habits has God changed in you, and what is He inviting you to surrender next?
