God will catch you.

Have you ever prayed a prayer like this: “I pray to you, O Lord, my rock. Do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you are silent, I might as well give up and die.”

That seem a bit dramatic. Yet, those words were written by David in Psalm 28:1.

David was not alone in wondering if God would protect him from his troubles. As a pastor and hospice chaplain, I have heard many stories from those who wondered where God was at it in the midst of a crisis.

When life has tossed you into the air and you feel that God has turned a deaf ear to your cry for help, I encourage you to trust Him while you’re falling.

God will catch you!

After reflecting on his troubles and wrestling through his lack of faith, David wrote, “The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving” (Psalm 28:7).

When you’re struggling with trusting God, perhaps you could think about this way. You’re watching a game, and your team is losing. Then, out of nowhere your team scores the winning points in the last seconds of the game.

Those of us who trust God always win. He will always catch us at the right moment. God will catch you!
