Deep and wide, deep and wide, there’s a fountain flowing deep and wide . . .

Okay, I could not resist sharing this video with you. That brings back some memories of us singing songs with our kids when they were little.

In this little song we learn about the depth of God’s love for us. That’s something most of us are aware of but few of us really understand. Getting a handle on God’s love for you is critical in the way you will love God and others. This is probably a little too deep for me to get into right now. So, I’ll just keep it simple.

God loves you more than you will ever understand. God loves you in spite of your thoughts or actions. God loves you in the good times and the bad times. His love for you never ends and is always expressed. That is the truth even when you don’t “feel” loved by God. Never let your feelings rob you of enjoying God’s love.

Life is too short to waste on such foolish thinking. So, why not meditate on these words from Philippians 1:9-11 for a few minutes:

9 I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. 10 For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. 11 May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God.

Make your life count for something! Don’t let Satan rob you of enjoying life. Focus on the things that really matter.
