There are some questions you don’t ask.  “What else?” is one of them!  Earlier this week I fell into the creek . . . nothing hurt but a little pride.  Yesterday afternoon I was trying hit a hornet nest that was being built on our house.  It was way up there and the spray could not reach.  I got a ladder and tryed again.  The wind shifted, the spray blew back to me, I reacted, and fell to the ground.  My feet were at least 5″ up.  For some reason, I extended my right arm and my hand hit the ground.

Talk about pain!  My elbow hurt like you know what.  The pain was WOW, you just broke your arm you dummy!  I could move it, but it hurt.  Then I started feeling faint.  My ears started ringing really LOUD.  I sat down until all of that passed.

Since I was feeling a little better, I got the ladder (it was bent and out of shape; cheap thing; we need a sturdy one for clumsy people) and propped it against the house.  I was determined that the hornets were not going to beat me.  I climbed back on the ladder and sprayed again.  Victory.  I hope.

I wasn’t really feeling good and needed to drop off a video for a neighbor when Rhonda drove up.  Needless to say, we went the ER and spent the next 5 hours there for them to take an x-ray and tell me that I might have a hairline fracture.  The doc told me to go next week to an orthopedic doctor for more pictures.  Yeah!  They sent me home with a really ugly and uncomfortable sling.

Then, about 3:00 AM I got up to take a pill for pain (over the counter stuff) and felt dizzy.  No big deal, right?  I took it and stopped by the bathroom.  That’s when I fainted or something.  The lights just went out!  I remember shouting, “Owwwww!”  When the lights came back, I was face to face with the toilet.  Rhonda came running in.  I laid on my back and realized that my ankle was HURTING big time.

Great.  A bum elbow and now a sprained ankle.  I am not asking “what else?’  All of this on the eve of showing “Fireproof” at our house.  It’s raining today.  There are some things I just don’t get.  There are marriages that need help.  We have invited people.  We got a popcorn maching, a new A/C, and hot dogs.  I can’t walk good and it’s hard to type.

I’m praying that God does something AWESOME tonight and tomorrow.
