I’ve been reflecting a lot the past two or three months about River Ridge’s vision.  We exist to help people find life in Christ.  I wish we were making a bigger difference.  I wish we had more money.  I wish we had more workers.  I wish a lot.  As I thought about those things, I wondered how Jesus and the early church did things.

They didn’t have a lot of money.  They didn’t have a slick marketing campaign.  They didn’t have a logo.  They didn’t have buildings.  All they had was a passion to help people find life in Christ.  They talked to people.  They connected with people.  They loved people.  They worshiped God.  They asked God to do his part.  Of the hundreds of people they talked to, a few believed and became followers of Jesus.

We may not have everything we want.  Everything may not go the way we want it to go.  We may not be where we want to be.  But one thing is certain.  Jesus is honored when we follow Him and invite people to join us on the journey.  Invite someone to join you.
