sweatingI guess it’s safe to say that winter is over.  Last Saturday Rhonda and I worked in the yard . . . did a little lawn tool maintenance; mowed the lawn; and planted flowers & shrubs.  By 3:00 in the afternoon we were hot and sunburned.  Both of us wondered if we had missed spring altogether!  It was really hot last week!  I was tired and really wanted to quit.  But, we needed to finish the job; so we pressed on until the work was done.

I don’t really enjoy working outside in really hot weather.  That’s one thing I don’t miss about living in Orlando.  The summer months there were brutally humid and hot.  Still, the outside work had to get done.  You just did it.

Life is a little like that.  The stress and problems seem to get hotter and hotter.  You long for cooler days.  You feel like you’re going to explode.  Or maybe just evaporate under the heat.  But, something inside says “don’t give up; don’t quit; don’t worry.”  You cry out to God for help.  You are desperate.  And here’s the cool thing . . . He gives you what you need when you need it!  God gives you some cooler “weather.”

This is what I’m talking about on Sunday.  When the furnance is stuck on unbearable heat and you can’t get out of the house, what do you do?  Find out Sunday.
