“Why do we fall down, Bruce?” is the question young Bruce Wayne’s father asked him after he fell down an abandoned well.  The answer to the question was “so we can learn to pick ourselves up again.”  This week Rhonda found out that in addition to having “Fuchs’ Dystrophy” in both eyes, she has a cataract on each eye too.  She was discouraged, but has picked herself up.

There are times when we don’t have the strength to pick ourselves up.  It’s in those moments we must look up to someone much larger than ourselves.  God is the only one who can give us the strength we need.  When you get news that knocks you off your feet, look up and raise your hand to the One who will pick you up and carry you.

That is a good message. Also, I enjoyed your sermon this week. You did a good job. Rhonda is still in my prayers.
