Neither Rhonda or me are sure what happened, but we lost our cable service on Saturday.  For us, that meant we lost TV, phone, & internet.  Since we live in a Verizon dead zone (okay, no one in our neighborhood gets cell service in the house), we were cut off from the world.  I think Rhonda cut the cable when she dug a hole to transplant a scrub.  She denies it.  Maybe I did it with the sod cutter.  By the way, that machine is a beast!  After figuring out how to work it, I felt like a huge giant had picked me up and shaken the stew out of me.  My fat cells were moving!!!  All I can say is that machine gave me a workout. It was not easy getting it back on the truck either.  It weighed a ton.  Rhonda was not happy.  She wanted me to wait on Brett (our neighbor).  I didn’t want to.  It was late.  We were tired.  So, after trying several things, I loaded the thing on front end loader of the tractor to get back on my truck.

Basically, after digging 5 huge holes for very large plants (each hole was about almost 4′ wide and 3′ deep).  I felt like I was digging wells.  I missed the sandy dirt in FL.  The clay and pieces of Stone Mountain in my front yard are no fun to dig in. If you need some rocks, call me.  My yard has thousands buried below to sod.  Needless to say, I was beat and cold when we quit working in the yard on Saturday.  I ached all over.  And to top it off, I didn’t get to see GA almost loss another ball game or watch anything on the tube.   I couldn’t surf the net.  I couldn’t talk on the phone.  We had lost it all.

The comcast guy came out today.  He didn’t know where the break in the line was, and didn’t seem to care.  After trying several things to get the cable working, he just ran a new line.  Oh well, life goes on even when you’ve lost it all.

what kind of rocks do you speak of? I hear ya about being cold and tired…I had a looooong week last week and it ended with a respiratory kind of cough sick thing. I think it’s funny that you helped all of us readers of your blog paint a nice picture in our head of your “fat cells moving”. Thank you~
    see you soooon!
