Years ago I studied Henry Blackaby’s book, Experiencing God, to help discover God’s will for my life. One of the principles he taught in knowing God’s will was that God is always at work. Learning how to recognize what was God was doing around you and how you should get involved was a key part of discovering God’s will.

Often, when we think about God’s will is has to do with big or important decisions. It seems that we may be less interested in knowing God’s will when things are going well in our lives. And, when things are not going well, we want to know what God is up to or want Him to do something different!

When things aren’t going the way you want them or when tragedy strikes, remember what God has promised in Romans 8:28 … “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them” (NLT).

In those moments remember that God is still at work … creating something beautiful for you from the bad stuff in your life. While you going through the dark days, seek God through prayer, Bible reading, and faithful people.

Lean on Him.

Trust Him.

Serve Him.

God will never abandon you. He will walk with you on your journey. God is always at work!
