I was at Starbuck’s picking up 50 cups of coffee at 6:30 this morning.  Then I walked over to McDonald’s to pick up the sausage biscuits.  I started passing them out at the school around 7:30.  By 8:15, they were all gone.  Word has spread quickly about our early morning give-away.

As I served people early this morning, I thought about Jesus.  He was nailed to a cross around 9:00 AM around 2,000 years ago.  Even though Jesus did not have to go through with it, he did it anyway because he loves us.  He died around 3:00 PM.

We refer to the day Jesus died as “Good Friday” because of his sacrifice for us.  Sometimes we grumble and complain about the stuff in our life.  In the scope of eternity, our stuff really doesn’t matter.  Not only can we live forever because of Good Friday, we can enjoy the intimate presence of God right now.

Why isn’t that enough?  Think about it.
